Clarification |
The proposal is approved with clarifications defined
by the committee members. The Chair signs the proposal at the meeting. The
Attending Veterinarian/Program Coordinator contacts the PI regarding the
clarifications required. The requested clarifications are made to the
proposal and an approval memorandum is distributed to the PI and the
appropriate facilities. |
| Deferred Pending Designated Member
Review |
The proposal is not approved until the requested
revisions/clarifications are made to the proposal. The Chair identifies
the designated reviewers and does not sign the proposal at the meeting.
The designated reviewers committee at a minimum will be the Primary
Reviewer, Chair, and Attending Veterinarian.The Attending
Veterinarian/Program Coordinator contacts the PI regarding the
revisions/clarifications that are required. Upon receipt, the
revisions/clarifications are distributed to the designated members
for review. Designated members are given five business days in which
to request a full committee review meeting. If any member requests a full
committee review, the revised proposal is reviewed at the next
scheduled meeting of the Committee that initially reviewed the
propsal. (NOTE: The designated member review committee cannot
disapprove the study.) If there is not a call for full committee review,
the designated review committee recommends additional changes or approves
the proposal. Once the designated review committee approves the
revised proposal, the Chair signs the proposal, and an approval memorandum
is distributed to the PI and the appropriate facilities. |
| Not Approved |
The proposal is not approved and the Chair does not
sign the proposal at the meeting. The Attending Veterinarian/Program
Coordinator sends a memorandum indicating the reasons for non approval and
a deadline for the resubmission of the
proposal. |
