Source:   The starting material was the filtrate from mammalian cell culture. It was filtered to remove cell debris, followed by passage through a rProtein A column to purify the murine Fc-endostatin. The dialyzed solution was subsequently passed through a Q column for endotoxin removal. The protein solution was sterile-filtered with a 0.20 um filter before vialing. The protein solution was then dialyzed against 1xPBS to remove excess salt.

Purity & Assay Method:   99.1% by size exclusion chromatography.

Formulation:   PBS, pH 7.4

Mass Per Vial:   There are 2 vial sizes: 1 mg and 5 mg

Storage Conditions:   Store at -70^oC

Activity:   Inhibits cord formation with an IC50 of 7ug/ml and IC100 of 8ug/ml. It has no effect on proliferation, chemotaxis (HUVEC) and on angiogenesis of chick aortic arch. 

Sterility:   Filtered through a 0.20 micron membrane and packaged under aseptic conditions.

Endotoxin Level:   The endotoxin level is 0.142 EU/ml.
