New Gate Procedures

Effective November 9, 2009, the Veterans Gate-7th Street will be undergoing construction. Consequently, from Monday to Friday (6am to 6pm) all visitors and non-decaled vehicles must enter Ft. Detrick from the Old Farm Gate. (Old Farm Gate is located on Rosemont Avenue across the street from Bloom Grocery Store and Dunkin Donuts).

After 6:00 P.M. and weekends all vehicles may enter the Veterans Gate-7th Street entrance.

Directions from Route 15:

From Route 15 North: Take Exit 14 for Rosemont Avenue. Turn Right at Rosemont Avenue. Continue on Rosemont Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles (Rosemont Avenue becomes Yellow Springs Road). Turn Right at Old Farm Drive. Stay in the Right lane to enter the Base. Follow signs for non-decaled (visitor entrance) lanes, which should be on the Right.

From Route 15 South: Take Exit 14 for Rosemont Avenue. Turn Left at Rosemont Avenue. Continue on Rosemont Avenue for approximately 1.5 miles (Rosemont Avenue becomes Yellow Springs Road). Turn Right at Old Farm Drive. Stay in the Right lane to enter the Base. Follow signs for non-decaled (visitor entrance) lanes, which should be on the Right.

Directions from Old Farm Gate to Human Resources – Bldg 372
Once through the Old Farm Gate, turn Right. You will be on Doughten Drive. Turn Right on Sultan Street. Continue to stay Right on Sultan. Drive one block and make a Left onto Wood Street. Follow Wood Street crossing over Chandler Street. As you drive around the curve, the road turns into Ware Drive. Turn Right into the large parking lot. Drive to the rear of the parking lot, turn Left and look for the visitor’s parking spaces located halfway down the row of spaces on your Right. (If no spaces are available, park anywhere in the lot). The Employment Office, Building 372, is directly beyond these visitor spaces.

Directions from Human Resources – Bldg 372 to Old Farm Gate
Make a Left onto Ware Drive out of the parking lot. Ware Drive turns into Wood Street as you round the curve. Follow Wood Street straight through the intersection with Chandler Street. Drive one block and make a Right onto Sultan Street. Continue on Sultan Street until you reach Doughten Drive. Make a Left onto Doughten and follow until you reach the exit to the base.

Directions from Old Farm Gate to Occupational Health Services, Building 426:
Once through the Old Farm Gate, follow Doughten Drive. Make a Right onto Sultan Street. Immediately bear left onto Miller Drive. Occupational Health Services, Building 426, will be immediately on your Right. You may park in a visitor’s space.

Directions to New Hire Orientation, Building 549 from Occupational Health Services, Building 426:
Turn left out of Building 426’s front entrance onto Miller Drive. Continue on Miller Drive to Sultan Street. Turn left onto Sultan Street. Continue on Sultan Sreet for approximately 1.5 blocks. Building 549 (the Library & Conference Center) will be on your Right. You may park anywhere in the lot. Once inside the building, there will be signs directing you to New Hire Orientation.
