From BWI, take Route 95 South towards Washington, DC. Join the Capitol Beltway (Interstate route 495) heading west toward Bethesda. You may approach the NIH by one of two routes:

• Leave Route 495 at exit 19 (Route 355/Wisconsin Ave./Rockville Pike), heading south for about 2 miles. Pass the National Naval Medical Center on the left, and turn right at Center Drive. The Natcher Conference Center is approximately 1 block down, on the right.
• Leave route 495 at exit 18 (Old Georgetown Road), heading south for about 2 miles. Turn left into the NIH campus at Center Drive. Center Drive passes in front of the NIH Clinical Center and then winds right and to the left as it nears the Natcher Conference Center and the National Library of Medicine complex.

Take the Dulles exit road to the Capitol Beltway (Interstate route 495) at entrance 12, heading north toward Bethesda/Baltimore. Leave route 495 at exit 18 (Old Georgetown Road), heading south for about 2 miles. Turn left into the NIH campus at the traffic light at Center Drive. Center Drive passes directly in front on the NIH Clinical Center (on the right-Bldg 10 or CC) and continues to wind around to the Natcher Conference Center (on the left-Bldg 45) and the National Library of Medicine (to the right).

You can take the Metro from Washington National Airport (Yellow or Blue Line) to the Medical Center stop (on the Red Line).

Take the George Washington Memorial parkway to Capitol Beltway (Interstate route 495) at entrance 14, proceeding north toward Bethesda/Baltimore. Leave route 495 at exit 18 (Old Georgetown Road), heading south for about 2 miles. Turn left into the NIH campus at Center Drive. Center Drive passes in front of the NIH Clinical Center (Bldg 10) and then winds right and to the left as it nears the Natcher Conference Center and the National Library of Medicine complex.
