Welcome
Thank you for your interest in the 2011 Radiation Epidemiology and Dosimetry Course. For the 2011 offering, in addition to the three-day course, we have added two preliminary components. These components were added in direct response to participants' suggestions from the 2007 course.
Course Components
| May 16, 2011: | Half-day component on Understanding and Using Epicure in Radiation Risk Modeling Studies |
| May 17, 2011: | One-day component on Basic Principles in Radiation Epidemiology, Dosimetry and Statistics |
| May 18-20, 2011: | Three-day component on Radiation Epidemiology and Dosimetry: Concepts and Studies |
Participants can register for as many components as they wish but registration is required.
Component Descriptions
| Component 1: | Half-day session on Epicure, a statistical software frequently used by radiation epidemiologists that is specifically formulated for assessing the underlying linear radiation-related risks. |
| Component 2: | One-day background session on basic radiation epidemiologic and dosimetric concepts. This component is intended for anyone who wants a refresher course on those topics or who has a limited radiation epidemiology background. |
| Component 3: | Three-day session of more in-depth radiation epidemiology and dosimetry concepts, as well as the seminal studies in those fields and recent updates. |
