In conjunction with the launch of the Chemical Biology Consortium (CBC), the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD) and the Center for Cancer Research (CCR) are co-hosting a day-long event to introduce and commence NCI's multidisciplinary approach towards advancing modalities from the bench to the bedside. The meeting will showcase the capabilities of the world class screening and chemistry centers that will serve as core participants in the Chemical Biology Consortium.

The morning session will focus on introducing both the Chemical Biology Consortium as well as the new NCI Experimental Therapeutics (NExT) pipeline in which it occupies a central position.

The afternoon session will be devoted to CBC Center Participants and will include poster and oral presentations on new and noteworthy targets/lead compounds that are under consideration as potential candidates for entry at various stages into the NExT pipeline.
